As a marriage celebrant, I LOVE intimate weddings, because I have standing before me incredible couples who are focussed on each other, without having to worry about being nervous in front of a crowd, and can relax and enjoy their dream wedding ceremony in a stunning location, which adds to the whole experience. And as an advocate of marriage equality, I include all couples here just naturally.

So if you’ve decided that you want to have an elopement, the next question is “How do I plan the perfect intimate elopement?”

First, think about your vision for your day.

As a Sunshine Coast Wedding Celebrant, I understand how important it is to make every part of your special day exactly as you want. From my experience, I can give you ideas to best elope your way.

And my advice to couples is if your budget allows there are so many ways to add those extra touches that will make your elopement an awesome experience:

Then all that’s left for you to do is find a date for your wedding day and lock me in as your celebrant. Please remember that you need one calendar month at least to complete and lodge with me the necessary Notice of Intended Marriage form to be able to marry, and I promise to help you every step of the way and be your sounding board and work with you to create your dream wedding.

I know that every couple is different, and so are their personalities and hopes for the day. So let me help you to create your dream Sunshine Coast Elopement at an affordable price.

I will ask you what’s important to you and your life together and use those guidelines to help create a bespoke wedding ceremony that celebrates your love story and suits you perfectly.

I will provide you with resources to choose the different parts of your ceremony and help you with your vows if needed. The entire wedding process is straightforward.

My Sunshine Coast elopement ceremonies are personalised, romantic and relaxed, filled with love and laughs in a choice of stunning locations.

As your Sunshine Coast Elopement Celebrant, I promise to support you in any way I can, so that the lead-up to your elopement is organised, calm and relaxed. I care about your special day and as a wedding professional, have the experience to bring it all together with your intimate wedding team.

The term “elopement” doesn’t just cover a couple by themselves (or with their children :))….it is often referred to as an intimate wedding or Micro- Wedding is another new label, describing an elopement-style wedding with up to 20 people or so. Couples can invite just their parents, closest family members and closest friends……

My marriage celebrant services will help your dream of a Sunshine Coast elopement come true…. as your wedding celebrant, I can recommend other amazing wedding vendors such as a day wedding planner, stylists for your Ceremony Styling Décor, floral, bridal hair and makeup, photographers and videographers. Together we will be your dream team. We can also add some champagne glasses after!

Your ceremony is personal, romantic, and relaxed, we can have a laugh or two or three….and you can concentrate on what is most important…your vows to each other and your amazing marriage.

When you look back on your elopement photos, your smiling faces will tell the story.

There are also plenty of ways to include those who aren’t there, parents, other family members or friends, which I suggest during our additional planning meetings.

I will work with you to create a personalised ceremony that captures your love and life together perfectly. We still share your story, more conversationally and intimately, you can banter with each other or with me (I love it), and as I am one of those fun wedding celebrants, we can just have loads of laughs.

The entire wedding ceremony will be so meaningful, so touching, so unforgettable, so you.

ELOPEMENT HINT:

For couples who aren’t eloping in secret, it is wonderful to be able to include those you want through streaming, using a platform such as Zoom, Whatsapp, facetime etc.

And couples often choose to have a videographer, as well as a photographer, record their ceremony so that they can share it with their family and friends later, and watch it over and over forever.

So if planning the full-on wedding is just too overwhelming, you can still have an extraordinary wedding so let’s chat about an intimate elopement or micro-wedding alternative, and make you happy, relaxed and married.

If a destination wedding is your dream intimate wedding day then I can assist you with all of the elements of weddings and recommend a team of wedding suppliers that can bring your vision to life.

I have over a decade of experience working in a destination wedding area and have married countless eloping couples, and I love bringing everything together to give my couples an awesome experience.

As a Sunshine Coast Marriage Celebrant, I can suggest some gorgeous destination wedding locations – Noosa Heads, Noosa, Coolum, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Caloundra and Maleny are all well-known spots. But there are so many more to explore. The Sunshine Coast is our oyster.

From the very first moment we met Jan, it was an immediate yes. She was so warm, friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely invested in us and our story. We chose one of her packages where she handled all the paperwork (which in itself was amazing), but what really stood out was her. She has this beautiful way of holding people, calm, reassuring, and full of heart while still making everything feel simple and stress-free. Her approach to the ceremony was incredible. She guided us to write our stories about each other beforehand, which we then heard for the first time during the ceremony. It was such a meaningful, emotional experience and the storytelling was done so beautifully. You could feel how much she genuinely loved our story and wanted to honour it. Our wedding was an engagement party/surprise wedding, and she totally matched the energy. She got amongst it, hyped everyone up, and carried the room with such warmth and confidence. Even our guests commented on how amazing she was. To top it off, on the day itself we had wild weather forecasts, thunderstorms, giant hail, and we were seriously considering changing the ceremony location at the last minute (which we really didn’t want to do because of the surprise and the beach lookout location we were transporting our guests to on a bus). In the middle of all that stress and uncertainty, she was calm, flexible, and completely up for anything. At one point we half-joked and said, “Worst case, could you marry us on the bus?” And without missing a beat, she was absolutely in. She didn’t just marry us, she shaped the entire feel of our ceremony. It was relaxed, joyful, emotional, and full of love, and so much of that was because of her presence. We are beyond grateful she was part of our wedding. Honestly, don’t even bother looking elsewhere, she’s exceptional and we couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Jan married Jason and I in the Whitsundays. Jan was amazing to deal with, she covered everything and was always only happy to answer every enquiry no matter how small or the time of day, I think I was emailing 7am, 10pm and everywhere in-between. For couples like Jason and I who are less of thinkers, she had LOADS of verses and vows for us to pick from, in which we planned our entire ceremony reading on! It was beautiful.
