With only two days to submit the paperwork for our “shotgun” wedding, Jan acted quickly and ensured everything was prepared so we could be legally married on our chosen day. Despite the rain on the day, I was determined to have our ceremony outdoors — and Jan didn’t hesitate for a second. She embraced the moment and helped make it happen. Jan was our celebrant on 26.01.2026. She was absolutely wonderful from the get go. Finding a celebrant who in genuinely interested in your relationship proved to be difficult, however Jan made everything so easy. She made our day seamless, and even kept the biggest secret ever from my Husband and our guests of my arrival (via Ridden Horse - Drayhorse Shires). Point cartwright Reserve was recommended to us by Jan & after a 5 hour round trip at 35 weeks pregnant we fell in love and said yes to the location! From our very first enquiry through to video call to our wedding day, Jan has been so thoughtful, extremely helpful and so understanding to how we wanted our day to go. Jan put together the most amazing ceremony, one that absolutely represented myself and my wife and our lives together. If you are looking for for a celebrant who takes the time to know you as a couple, tailor your day to exactly how you want it to go, super reliable and just a down to earth lovely lady, Jan is absolutely who I recommend for your big day.
From the very first moment we met Jan, it was an immediate yes. She was so warm, friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely invested in us and our story. We chose one of her packages where she handled all the paperwork (which in itself was amazing), but what really stood out was her. She has this beautiful way of holding people, calm, reassuring, and full of heart while still making everything feel simple and stress-free. Her approach to the ceremony was incredible. She guided us to write our stories about each other beforehand, which we then heard for the first time during the ceremony. It was such a meaningful, emotional experience and the storytelling was done so beautifully. You could feel how much she genuinely loved our story and wanted to honour it. Our wedding was an engagement party/surprise wedding, and she totally matched the energy. She got amongst it, hyped everyone up, and carried the room with such warmth and confidence. Even our guests commented on how amazing she was. To top it off, on the day itself we had wild weather forecasts, thunderstorms, giant hail, and we were seriously considering changing the ceremony location at the last minute (which we really didn’t want to do because of the surprise and the beach lookout location we were transporting our guests to on a bus). In the middle of all that stress and uncertainty, she was calm, flexible, and completely up for anything. At one point we half-joked and said, “Worst case, could you marry us on the bus?” And without missing a beat, she was absolutely in. She didn’t just marry us, she shaped the entire feel of our ceremony. It was relaxed, joyful, emotional, and full of love, and so much of that was because of her presence. We are beyond grateful she was part of our wedding. Honestly, don’t even bother looking elsewhere, she’s exceptional and we couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Thank you, thank you, thank you a 1000 times and 5 stars are much too little to express our absolute joy, happiness and thankfulness about our wonderful and just amazing wedding at beautiful Whitehaven beach, which you, Jan, made possible for us! Now we know you for 5 years when we started our wedding plans and (as we are from overseas, Germany) you helped us and supported us always in such a great way even during this hard Corona times which forced us to postpone our wedding 2 times from 2020 now finally to 2022. During all this times we felt us kept in so very good and professional hands and you always gave us hope that despite of all the occurring obstacles our day will finally come…. …and it did and as you always promised us, we really stood on this stunning and beautiful beach with our faces in the sun and we were enjoying your absolutely wonderful and lovely ceremony which was written from you with so much heart and feeling for our personal and „longest wedding story ever“ . Jan married Jason and I in the Whitsundays. Jan was amazing to deal with, she covered everything and was always only happy to answer every enquiry no matter how small or the time of day, I think I was emailing 7am, 10pm and everywhere in-between. For couples like Jason and I who are less of thinkers, she had LOADS of verses and vows for us to pick from, in which we planned our entire ceremony reading on! It was beautiful. Jan met with us the day of our wedding in our apartment (we'd only arrived the night before) and we finalised the paperwork with some laughs. We highly recommend!! :)

From the very first email response we got from Jan we both knew she was the celebrant for us. I provide you with a wide range of readings, vows, ceremony samples and ideas in a Ceremony Planning Workbook and I am happy to include any symbolic acts or cultural traditions that may be important to you.
And I love being creative and coming up with something a little different if that’s what you like.
I will also assist you with all of the necessary legal requirements and lodge your paperwork online with the Registry of Births, Deaths, and Marriages after your ceremony.
It’s my job to make sure your ceremony planning is as easy and stress-free as possible.
Whether you live in Australia or overseas, I will do all that I can to make your wedding dream come true by working with you to create your ceremony and a memory that you will treasure as you begin your future together.
